The story behind the song...
On my One Heart CD it says that Michael King wrote this song. It should have said I put music to the words that were so beautifully put in the Bible at Mark 14:22.
Lying in bed and trying to imagine all the things Jesus must have went through while here on earth, I turned over and my bible was open to the book of Mark 14. As I read, it hit me that Jesus was preparing to give life to the world.
Communion to me now, is not just going through the motions. It really takes on a greater meaning to me than ever before.
If you read these verses you will notice at the end of the supper they began to sing Hymens. That is the reason for the Lord's Prayer at the end of the song. What a great way to finish. Many churches have played this song during communion services so feel free to download it and do that.
