The story behind the song...
Wrote this song with Steve George Reis (one of the founding members of McGuffey Lane) which by the way, is one of my favorite bands.
As I began to progress with Lord, one of the virtues I began working on was treating people with kindness.. As I was at the store waiting to check out , a man came behind me and with a big shove told me to "get out the way" ( He was a little drunk and it seems like when you start to work on something you get tested on it to see if is real.)
I was able to hold from saying anything and did treat the man with kindness. I went to Steve's house from there to work on some music and told him about what had just happened.
Steve said "He needed to get out the way----THE WAY. We both laughed and then it hit us at about the same time. When the church first started it was called "The Way".
It started with One, then One turned into two. If we all worked together think what we could do. It was easy to write from there but when I play it I don't know if people fully understand it.
