Never dreamed that at fifty two years old a song I wrote would be getting played on the radio. A lot of folks seemed to be enjoying "Paw Paw, I Want to Hear a Jesus Song" at the time. How could I have known that the guys I went to school with would still be playing music with me?
When we recorded "Peaceful Easy Feeling" using most of the words to "Amazing Grace" plus some others I wrote, it drew some attention. Mark Yinger and I were on Fox News 28 talking about the success of the song.
We were able to talk about Ethan Collins, a deputy who was killed on the job in Lancaster, Ohio, also. One True North did a benefit concert for the family. It was a very moving night.
